Fallujah Murder Case: Marine Sergeant Jermaine Nelson

In a highly publicized case, Joseph Low acquired a dismissal of murder charges against a Camp Pendleton Marine accused of shooting an unarmed Iraqi in the heat of battle in Fallujah. The defendant, Marine Sergeant Jermaine Nelson, was involved in one of the most vicious battles of the Iraq war. Murder charges were dropped against three Camp Pendleton Marines. Sgt. Jermaine Nelson agreed to plead guilty to dereliction of duty. In exchange, he received an honorable discharge.
