Driver Flees Scene after Fatally Striking Man on 134 Freeway

By Joseph Low on June 21, 2013

At 12:24 a.m. on June 15, a 2005 Toyota Solara crashed into the back of a 2001 Honda CRV that had stopped in the middle westbound lane of the 134 Freeway just before Pacific Avenue, according to Los Angeles Times.

California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada stated that the driver of the Solara then left his vehicle and walked toward the center divider wall.

A Lexus IS 250 traveling at high speeds struck the man in the carpool lane after avoiding the disabled vehicles. The impact left the man on the other side of the divider in the eastbound carpool lane. Posada said that the man “was still alive and moving” after being hit. However, the man was struck a second time by an unidentified vehicle. His death was pronounced at 12:42 a.m.

Believe it or Not, There are Benefits of Legal Representation after a Personal Injury Accident

By Joseph Low on December 13, 2012

Being involved in a car accident or other type of personal injury accident can be traumatic beyond what most people imagine if they or a loved one have never had to overcome such an obstacle. You are not only left with potentially serious injuries to recover from, but your entire life may change forever as a result. Your health is your priority, but when it comes to the insurance companies and at-fault parties that caused your accident, avoiding responsibility is their priority.

If your injury accident was caused by the reckless actions of another, such as a distracted driver or negligent manufacturer, you may have the right to take legal action in order to recover the losses you’ve suffered as a result of your injuries. Insurance companies and at-fault parties don’t want you to hire a personal injury attorney and file a civil suit because then they will have to take full responsibility. Insurance companies will try to get you to agree to a lower settlement, making you believe that the amount they offer is the best you can get. But this isn’t true.
